Sheer lingerie is definitely the most gorgeous outfit you want to be wearing during the romantic moments. However, Hollywood stars refuse to let these garments stay in the “intimate wear” category. And while some prefer rocking this sexy bedroom look in videos or on live shows, some stars obviously love sheer lingerie so much that they are desperately trying to make it a piece of their everyday wardrobe.

Madonna started this frenzy back in 1990’s  with the albums Material Girl and Erotica. Although the whole look was a bit shocking and maybe sexier than most of the critics could handle, pointy bras and other sheer pieces became a trend that inspired many big names in the fashion world.

Now, if we’re going to mention new celebrity names being caught outside in their sheer undies, it’s only fair to talk about Lady Gaga first. After all, this girl is probably the only one who managed to make a unique and recognizable look made entirely from see thru tops, corsets, lace bodysuits and panties. I’m a big fan of the gossip column and it was no surprise to read that she managed to cause quite a disturbance recently by showing up  in a restaurant wearing nothing but a leather jacket and a sheer bra and thong set. Now that’s an example of a girl who finds sheer lace hard to resist.

And while Lady Gaga and Madonna really did a good job using sheer lingerie to promote a unique style, reality star Tila Tequila is the example of what you should never do under any circumstances. Her lame attempts to grab some attention could  give sheer underwear a bad reputation. If seeing this picture made you want to go get your eyes checked- don’t worry there’s nothing wrong with you. This is just Tila being herself. And yes, that means showing up in a supermarket wearing an almost completely see thru babydoll and thong set.

My opinion? While I really like to see the good examples of lingerie matched and worn like outerwear, there is always some people, like Tila, who are there to remind us that not everybody  can pull it off. So, do experiment, ladies, but always keep it stylish because with sheer lingerie, it’s a thin line between glamorous and trashy.

Big bust- Well, big bust may be a problem while jogging but when it comes to sheer lingerie I don’t see a problem at all! If you, however, still insist on covering them up a little bit there are some really sexy sheer bras available. This black one, for example, is an ideal way to show everything without having to deny yourself support and control over your “two girls”.

Thick mid-section- If having  more feminine, hour glass figure  is what you want, corsets are the best way to achieve that. After all, that’s what they were originally designed for. A sheer, neutral color corset like the one shown on the pic will give you that “almost nude” look while accenting and slimming down your waist.

Short legs- Picking a high cut thong or an extraordinary sheer teddy like this will add that much needed inches and help you have that mile long, runway model legs. Pay attention to this beautiful butterfly detail on the bust-it’s not just an extremely sexy decoration but a smart diversion also.

Speaking about diversions, they a key to always looking fabulous and managing to hide small imperfections. Like I mentioned in my previous post, it’s all about realizing what you want to point out and what you want to cover up. Accent your good assets and make them be the first thing he’ll look at.
