Sheer bras- How to pick the perfect one

Saturday, October 3rd, 2009

Sheer bras come in many colors and designs these days and, although a wide bra selection is something we all salute, it can make this hard decision making process even harder. Here, I especially have in mind you, young ladies- the inquisitive ones still relatively unfamiliar with the sheer lingerie world. However, when it comes to picking a sheer bra that not only looks good but feels comfortable too,  all women could use  some “how to” tips. You see, we all have that little dose of vanity which prevents us from seeing our potential mistakes. But, I’ll skip the lecturing part and focus on the three main issues.

resizeSupport- Sheer or not, a bra is supposed to provide an adequate level of  support. Good, supportive bra will improve your posture, prevent back pains and reduce the “gravity effect”. Now, about that last one- If you are in your twenties, the chances are you won’t pay too much attention to that. And you should, because wearing a supportive bra will help your breasts battle the g force  and attain a good level of perkiness in the future. Large busted ladies should opt for underwired sheer bras or even semi-sheer combination of molded cups with sheer lace top.

Purpose- Are you looking for a completely see thru bra you’ll wear occasionally in order to spice up you love life? Or you need a moderately sheer one for everyday use? If your sheer lingerie shopping spree is supposed to get you some “for his eyes only” goodies, you can allow yourself to be blown away by a sexy but unpractical bra. After all, you won’t be wearing it for too long. However, if you need a bra you’ll wear under your normal clothes, do look for quality, comfort and, previously mentioned, support.

Levels of sheerness- You have a wide selection of completely see thru, semi-sheer an non sheer bras and which one you’ll pick depends only on you and the clothes you are planning to match it with. The general rule is that form fitting clothes look best with smooth bras while semi-sheer, lace embroided bras and flowing dresses or tunics make a prefect, sensual and ladylike match.
